Data from the Swedish Transport Administration

See disruptions, engineering works and delays

Tågradar shows current rail traffic impacts published by the Swedish Transport Administration: incidents happening now, work expected in the next 14 days and items that ended within the past 24 hours. Select Delays above the map to compare observed delays between route sections.

Happening now

See current engineering works, technical faults, reduced services and other published traffic impacts.

Upcoming incidents

Planned engineering works and other upcoming traffic impacts are shown up to 14 days ahead.

Earlier incidents

The search window covers the previous 24 hours. Ended incidents remain visible only while they are still present in the current API data.

Route-section map

Affected route sections at operating levels 2–4 are drawn separately. Select a section to open the matching incident card without moving or zooming the map.

Cause and impact

Each card separates the reported cause, incident type and the Swedish Transport Administration's public description of the traffic impact.

Delays

Select Delays to colour route sections yellow, orange, red or dark red according to observed train delays. Select a section to see the underlying data and each direction. The data is refreshed every minute.

What is a rail disruption?

A traffic incident can affect several route sections at different operating levels. The page shows all relevant impacts published by the Swedish Transport Administration, not only red-level incidents, and retains each section's individual level.

The source data is published through the Swedish Transport Administration's open API and includes the affected route, time period, cause, incident type and public message. Incidents may involve engineering works, signalling or overhead-line faults, train faults, weather, accidents or reduced services.

If a detail such as the operating level or end time is unavailable, the page says so instead of hiding the entire incident. Individual trains may also be affected beyond the route sections identified here.

Colours used on this page

The map shows the Swedish Transport Administration's yellow, orange and red operating levels, as well as sections for which no level is available. Green level 1 is not drawn because traffic has started running again, although it may still appear in an incident card's source details.

Level 2 · Yellow
The Swedish Transport Administration's yellow operating level for the selected route section
Level 3 · Orange
The Swedish Transport Administration's orange operating level for the selected route section
Level 4 · Red

Frequently asked questions about rail traffic information

The list refreshes automatically every 60 seconds. A blue dot in the panel heading pulses while new data is loading, and the Updated timestamp shows when the latest request completed.
The page shows rail incidents and traffic impacts published by the Swedish Transport Administration, including engineering works, technical faults, reduced services and items without an operating level. Incidents are grouped as current, upcoming or ended.
Select a route section on the map or an incident card in the list. The matching card is highlighted and brought into view while the route gains a bright outline. Select empty map space or the selected section again to clear both. The map shows operating levels 2–4 and omits green level 1.
Delay colours use only trains with a recent actual or estimated time. Each direction is summarised by its 75th percentile and the section uses the more delayed direction: yellow for 2–5 minutes, orange for 6–10, red for 11–14 and dark red from 15 minutes. Delays below two minutes are not shown. An uncoloured section may have insufficient recent data. The colour shows how delayed trains are on the section, not where the delay originated.
Traffic information is shown by route section rather than by individual train. To follow a particular service, use the train tracker and search by train number for its latest status and delays.
This page shows incidents by route section. A cancelled service appears on the station departure board or in the train tracker once it has been reported in the source data. Always check your operator's information before travelling.
All disruption information comes directly from the Swedish Transport Administration's open API. Tågradar is an independent service; during serious disruption, confirm the situation directly with your operator.
