Västtrafik replaces trains between Gothenburg and Ytterby with direct buses in both directions during the engineering work. Search for the bus connection and follow its listed departure point. [1]
Passengers approaching Ytterby from the north are directed to Stenungsund Express, changing to a local bus at Kungälv travel centre. This differs from the direct bus route from Gothenburg. [1]
Kungälv Municipality describes Ytterby station as a transport node where passengers can normally change easily between Bohus Line trains and buses. [2] [3]
On 27 August 2026, Västtrafik states that Ytterby is served by direct replacement buses. The full Bohus Line is scheduled to reopen on 15 March 2027; always check the current journey. [4]
